Preamble:
This document is intended to be a written expression of how we would like ministries to conduct their relationships one with another.
It is not meant to be a legally binding commitment but rather the expression of an ideal we want to aspire to.
It also serves as means to introduce new members and ministries to our ideals as the Barrie Christian Council.
Commitment:
We commit together to guard one another. We choose to resist criticism, unfounded accusations, or competitive carnal words and actions toward one another.
We commit to believe the best of each other at all times, and will speak well of each other in their absence.
We commit together to transfer fellow believers from one group to another with sensitivity, respect, clear communication,
carefulness, and with the blessing of the group they are leaving. If they leave with strife or contentiousness the unresolved
conflicts should be resolved in the spirit of Matthew 18.
We commit to edify, build up, encourage, strengthen, prefer, receive, admonish, be devoted to, honour, be kind, gently
and forbearing with, be hospitable to, share, serve, comfort, pray, submit and be compassionate one to another.
We commit to pray for one another’s families, fellowship, association or churches, when God puts them on our hearts.
We commit to intercede for the leadership of our land and to help enable righteousness prevail in the positions of authority in our land.
We commit to restore in the spirit of meekness any one of this group that would be overtaken in a fault. We will cooperate with
their governing authorities and support them if our assistance, council and help are called for.
We commit to strategize, work together, and unify for the issues facing the body of Christ today.
